Calamari (Καλαμαράκια Τιγανητά)

I will not pretend to have done any serious cooking today.... a lazy Saturday was really needed... spend most of the morning in bed, a trip down the supermarket and then back home for some more lounging...
Food wise, this is as easy as it gets. It is good for nibbles when you have people over as well. So, go down to the freezer isle at the supermarket and make sure you find the calamari pack.
I doubt anyone in Greece even spends the effort to make them from fresh so I will not pretend I did either! About 400gr is enough for 2 people and all it takes is about 4 minutes deep fry.
Serve it with some Greek salad and chips and it makes for a great meal. In the UK overall they don’t eat a lot of fish, so let’s not forget that it does exist even if it’s not as popular! 

It smelled of summer in the house and of course let’s not forget the ouzo on the side...
