Marinated Lamb with potatoes (Αρνί με πατάτες στον φούρνο)

We are in serious business territory with this food. It really makes all the taste buds work overtime. I recommend it for gatherings and days you have plenty of time to seat down and properly enjoy it. Here is the recipe for roughly 4-5 servings

Ingredients:

1.3kg lamb shoulder (with the bone)
1.5kg potatoes, peeled and cut in chunks
5 garlic gloves
1 lemon’s juice
5 spoonfuls of mustard
2 ladles of olive oil
1 spoonful oregano
Salt and pepper

Preparation:

Place your lamb and the potatoes in the tray. Add the garlic and squeeze 2 of them within the lamb, by making small openings with your knife. Add one cup of water in a ball and your mustard and stir until dissolved. Pour this over the lamb mainly. Add the oregano, the lemon juice and the oil. Sprinkle 1 ½ spoonfuls of salt and ½ spoonful of pepper. Then massage all the ingredients on the meat and the potatoes with your hands.
You must have preheated your oven at 220 degrees and you need to bake for roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes. Half way in, take the tray out and turn the meat so it is equally cooked on both sides.
Make sure your meat is of good quality, otherwise this won’t work! The photos seriously do not do it justice.
