Chicken with Greek egg Noodles (Κοτόπουλο με χυλοπίτες)


This is an easy enough food to make and every so fulfilling. Recipe is for 4 servings.
 
Ingredients:


4 chicken legs
400gr Greek egg noodles
400gr chopped tomatoes (1 tin)
2 ladles olive oil
Salt and Pepper
½ teaspoon chilli powder (optional)

Preparation:

You place the chicken in the tray, together with the chopped tomatoes, the olive oil, 1 spoonful of salt and ½ teaspoon pepper. You can add the chilli powder at this stage, it is not too much to make it spice, but it does give it more flavour I find. You then add one cup of water.
Place it in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 50 minutes. Then take the tray out and add 1 cup of boiled water, the noodles and 1 teaspoon of salt. Stir and put back in the oven. 10 minutes later stir the noodles gently. Place back in the oven and leave it for an extra 20 minutes roughly or until all the water has disappeared.
